Network Rail will be carrying out major
engineering work to restore the single track between Charlbury and
Evesham to a double track and for six weeks some sections of the the
railway line will be closed.
There will be changes to the times of a few
Cotswold Line Railbus journeys to ensure they connect with
First Great Western's replacement road transport to/from Oxford.

The Cotswold Line Railbus is a network
of buses that provide a cheap, easy and stress free way to get
to and from the railway stations at Charlbury or Kingham
in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds.
Timetables are designed to allow convenient
connections with most trains to and from Oxford, Reading and London Paddington,
and some morning and afternoon trains to Moreton-in-Marsh,
Worcester and Hereford from Kingham Station. To see a map of the network

The Cotswold Line Railbus network consists of four routes:
- Railbus C1 from The Wychwoods
(Milton-under-Wychwood, Shipton-under-Wychwood and Ascott-under-Wychwood), Leafield,
Finstock to Charlbury town centre and Charlbury Station
- Railbus T1 from Leafield, Ramsden and Finstock to Charlbury town
centre and Charlbury Station (off-peak on-demand service)
- Railbus X8 from Chipping Norton, CHurchill and Kingham to Kingham
Station, with a daytime extension to Foscot, Idbury, Fifield,
Milton-under Wychwood, Shipton-under-Wychwood and
Ascott-under-Wychwood.
- Bus 233 from Chipping Norton, Churchill, Kingham, Kingham
Station, Foscot, Idbury, Fifield, Milton-under Wychwood,
Shipton-under-Wychwood, Burford, Minster Lovell and Witney on Sundays.
Accessible to
everyone

Cotswold Line Railbus services are normally operated by modern
low-floor easy access buses.
These have wide entrances with no steps, a wheelchair space
and brightly coloured handrails and are driven by staff who have
received disability awareness training.
If travelling by train without a companion, you are
advised to notify First Great Western at least 24 hours in
advance so that assistance can be arranged at your
destination station anywhere in the United Kingdom.

produced a guide on behalf of the train companies that operate
the National Rail network. This guide can be

Local authority concessionary travel passes are valid on these services,
for journeys starting on or after 9.00 am on weekdays. There are
no time restrictions at weekends or bank holidays. National
travel tokens are accepted at any time of the day.
