What's changing in December?

From 15th December
2008, Cotswold Line Railbus services X8, X8A and C1 are changing:
Route C1 (operated by RH
Transport)
§ Route
C1 will continue to operate peak time journeys in the morning and
evening at similar times to now
§ Off-peak
journeys during the day (after about 0845) will no longer operate, but
are partly replaced by new service T1 (see below)
§ Some
journeys are extended to serve Milton-under-Wychwood
§ Journeys
in Shipton-under-Wychwood no longer use Plum Lane
§ In
Charlbury buses will use Park Street instead of Sheep Street when
leaving Charlbury
Route T1
(operated by RH Transport)
§
This is a new route for Leafield and
Ramsden passengers to travel to and from Charlbury Town Centre and
Charlbury Station
§ Journeys
must be pre-booked by calling RH Transport on 01993 869100 a minimum of
two hours before travelling
Route X8 (operated by RH
Transport)
§ Off
peak (between about 0930 and 1630), all X8 journeys are extended beyond
Kingham Station to serve Idbury, Fifield, Milton-under-Wychwood,
Shipton-under-Wychwood and Ascott-under-Wychwood. This gives the
Wychwoods new rail connections to Kingham station and through buses to
Chipping Norton
§ In
Chipping Norton All journeys now travel via Churchill Road.
§ Bledington
is no longer served
§ Route
X8A no longer operates
Route 233 (operated by
Stagecoach)
§ From
1 February 2009 a brand new Sunday service will operate on route 233.
Route 233 will be extended to run beyond Milton-under-Wychwood to
Kingham station and Chipping Norton on Sundays. This will give the
Wychwoods and Burford a new service to Chipping Norton, Witney and rail
connections via Kingham station |
