What's changing in December?
- 12th November 2008

From 15th December 2008, Cotswold Line Railbus services X8, X8A and C1 are changing:

Route C1 (operated by RH Transport)

§      Route C1 will continue to operate peak time journeys in the morning and evening at similar times to now

§      Off-peak journeys during the day (after about 0845) will no longer operate, but are partly replaced by new service T1 (see below)

§      Some journeys are extended to serve Milton-under-Wychwood

§      Journeys in Shipton-under-Wychwood no longer use Plum Lane

§      In Charlbury buses will use Park Street instead of Sheep Street when leaving Charlbury

Route T1 (operated by RH Transport)

§      This is a new route for Leafield and Ramsden passengers to travel to and from Charlbury Town Centre and Charlbury Station

§      Journeys must be pre-booked by calling RH Transport on 01993 869100 a minimum of two hours before travelling

Route X8 (operated by RH Transport)

§      Off peak (between about 0930 and 1630), all X8 journeys are extended beyond Kingham Station to serve Idbury, Fifield, Milton-under-Wychwood, Shipton-under-Wychwood and Ascott-under-Wychwood. This gives the Wychwoods new rail connections to Kingham station and through buses to Chipping Norton

§      In Chipping Norton All journeys now travel via Churchill Road.

§      Bledington is no longer served

§      Route X8A no longer operates

Route 233 (operated by Stagecoach)

§      From 1 February 2009 a brand new Sunday service will operate on route 233. Route 233 will be extended to run beyond Milton-under-Wychwood to Kingham station and Chipping Norton on Sundays. This will give the Wychwoods and Burford a new service to Chipping Norton, Witney and rail connections via Kingham station
